Ceratolithus amplificus Bukry and Percival, 1971
Non-birefringent Ceratolith having a C-axis is perpendicular to the plane of a horseshoe or natural settling of the coccolith. Having ornamented straight horn and a non-ornamented curved horn. The apical area is well developed.
Nicklithus differs from Ceratolithus Kamptner (1950) by being non-birefringent, whereas the latter is strongly birefringent. It is distinguished from Amaurolithus Gartner & Bukry (1975) by having a straight horn with keels.
