Calcidiscus premacintyrei Theodoridis, 1984
Broadly elliptical species of Calcidiscus having a strongly elliptical central area. The central area is without structure. The proximal shield is birefringent.
Calcidiscus premacintyrei differs from Calcidiscus tropicus (Kamptner, 1955) Varol (1989) and Calcidiscus macintyrei (Bukry & Bramlette, 1969) Loeblich & Tappan (1978) by being elliptical. It is distinguished from Calcidiscus gallagheri da Gama & Varol (2013) by lacking porous plate in the central area.
