Coronocyclus baileyi da Gama & Varol, 2013
Coronocyclus mesostenos de Kaenel & Boesiger in Boesiger et al., 2017
Elliptical species of Coronocyclus Hay Mohler & Wade (1966) have a narrow pelaga and a wide central opening without structure. The tube cycle bears spines. The proximal shield is made up of strongly imbricated chevron-like segments. The entire species is strongly birefringent in polarised light.
Coronocyclus baileyi differs from Coronocyclus latus (da Gama & Varol 2013) Varol, emend. and Coronocyclus prionion (Deflandre & Fert, 1954) Stradner in Stradner & Edwards (1968) by being elliptical rather than circular.
