Ericsonia hesslandii Haq, 1966
Reticulofenestra haqii Backman, 1978
Medium size [4.0-8.0µm] elliptical species of Reiculofenestra Hay, Mohler & Wade (1966) with a narrow circular central opening distally but narrow elliptical central opening proximally. The size of the opening and the width of the tube cycle varies greatly.
Reticulofenestra hesslandii differs from Reiculofenestra gelida (Geitzenauer in Geitzenauer & Huddlestun, 1972) Backman (1978) and Reiculofenestra clemencesellayae Varol, in prep. by being smaller [4.0-8.0µm] whilst the later species are greater than 8.0µm. It is distinguished from Reiculofenestra asafis Varol, in prep. by having a larger, well-defined circular central opening.
