Salisia gartneri Varol, 2004 [Salisia Varol, 2004 is pre-occupied by Salisia Lindley, 1839]
Moderately large [4.0 - 8.0µm] strictly circular species of Vonsalisia Varol (2019) having 13 or more slits in its distal shield.
Vonsalisia gartneri differ from Vonsalisia kamptneri (Varol, 2004) Varol (2019) by having 12 or fewer slits in its distal shield, whereas the latter has 13 or more slits.
It is distinguished from Vonsalisia ovata (Bukry, 1973 ) Varol (2019) and Vonsalisia pacifica (Nishida, 1979 ) Varol (2019) by being strictly circular rather than elliptical to sub-circular.
