Umbilicosphaera germanica Reinhardt, 1969
The species of Grunia were erroneously assigned to Diazomatolithus Noël, 1965. In turn, the species of the latter genus were erroneously assigned to Ansulasphaera Grün & Zweili, 1980. The side view of Diazomatolithus lehmanii (type species of Diazomatolithus) in Fig. 27 by Noël, 1965 is proof beyond doubt for the identical structure of Diazomatolithus and Ansulasphaera. Moreover, the species of Grunia does not occur below Tithonian whereas the holotype of Diazomatolithus (Diazomatolithus lehmanii) was described from Oxfordian sediments compatible with the ranges of Ansulasphaera species.
