Scampanella asymmetrica Perch-Nielsen in Perch-Nielsen & Franz, 1977
Asymmetrical species of Scampanella having a ratio of the height to the width [without spines and collar] is greater than 2.0 whiles the ratio of distal tier to the cone is about 2.0-2.5. The distal tier to cone ratio of the above-illustrated specimen is not compatible with the dimensions of the holotype. The ratio of the distal tier to the cone is about 1.0 in our specimen.
Scampanella asymmetrica is easily distinguished from other members of Scampanella by being asymmetrical.
