Helicopontosphaera granulata Bukry & Percival 1971
Helicolith having a Type III (Helicosphaera carteri type) blanket, expanded flange termination and a granulated central area.
Helicosphaera granulata differs from Helicosphaera burkei Black (1971) and Helicosphaera carteri (Wallich, 1877) Kamptner, (1954) by having a granulated central area. Helicosphaera carteri has two pores whilst Helicosphaera burkei has an axial suture in the central area.
