Lithostromation perdurum Deflandre, 1942
Large triangular to stellate or round coccolith (arguably holococcolith) with a porous structure formed by small crystallites. It may be ornamented with spines.
There is no similar nannofossil to compare. Species of Lithostromation are identified based on their overall shape, shape and arrangement of pores, the presence or absence of spines, and the number of spines if present.
