The beaded elements display white interference colours and exhibit inclined extinction lines, whereas the shields and the central perforation remain in constant extinction.
Elliptical to circular placoliths possessing three-tiered shields composed of non-imbricated segments, a central area with a permanent perforation, and a ring of distinct beaded elements near the inner periphery of the proximal shield. No tube cycle is present.
