Optical Properties

The central row of beaded segments exhibits parallel extinction (extinction angle = 0°), whereas the outer rows show symmetrical extinction, reaching an extinction angle of 45°.

Remarks

Species of Ceratolithoides possess two horns that form an arrowhead‑shaped framework, together with a low apical cone ornamented by three distinct rows of beaded segments.
