Boletuvelum candens Wind & Wise in Wise & Wind, 1977
Reanalysis of the type material indicates that it belongs to the Late Campanian.
In the side view, the distal process displays a white interference colour and exhibits length-slow (+) elongation, indicating that the optic axis (c-axis) is perpendicular to its length.
A small placolith consisting of elliptical distal and proximal plates and a massive, distally flaring, hollow distal process that forms a distinct eave perpendicular to its axis at maximum width, followed by a conical distal closure.
