Basionym

Grantarhabdus bukryi Black, 1972a

Dimensions Of Holotype

Length: 5.4 µm

Description

Small (<8.0 µm) species of Grantarhabdus characterised by a symmetrical diagonal cross.

Optical Properties

The optical properties are comparable to those of Granthorhabdus.

Remarks

Grantarhabdus bukryi is distinguished from Grantarhabdus coronadventis by its smaller size (<8.0 µm).

Grantarhabdus bukryi differs from Grantarhabdus quadratus from the Late Oxfordian to the Late Hauterivian in having a larger central area and narrower shields. Moreover, Grantarhabdus bukryi is separated from Grantarhabdus quadratus by a large stratigraphic interval.
