Zeugrhabdotus praesigmoides Burnett, 1997
From Greek diploos / diplo-, double, and teichos, wall; referring to the double-walled construction of the loxolith.
Loxoliths are characterised by a double wall and a central area spanned by a transverse bar that supports a distal process.
In plan view under cross-polarised light, the outer wall remains in constant extinction, whereas the inner wall exhibits interference colours. The transverse bar may or may not display interference colours, depending on its construction.
Diploteichus differs from Glaukolithus and Zeugrhabdotus in having a double wall; both of the latter genera possess a single wall.
