Zeugrhabdotus praesigmoides Burnett, 1997c
In plan view under cross-polarised light, the outer wall remains in constant extinction, whereas the inner wall and transverse bar exhibit first-order white interference colours. The transverse bar is constructed of four longitudinal segments, and the diagonal segments exhibit similar optical properties.
Species of Diploteichus are characterised by a double wall and a central area spanned by a transverse bar aligned with the short axis and supporting a distal process. In the mobile-mount side view, the outer wall is more prominent than the inner wall. Both walls are triangular in profile, but their apices point in opposite directions: the apex of the outer wall is oriented proximally, whereas that of the inner wall is oriented distally.
