Discolithus surirella Deflandre & Fert, 1954
Cretarhabdus cantianus Black, 1973
Species of Retecapsa comprise a cretarhabdid pelaga sloping towards the central area, composed of inclined segments that are typically weakly clockwise-imbricated, rarely lacking imbrication, and a distally arched central area characterised by an axial cross, which may be distinct or indistinct, bearing a distal process.
The inter-cross area is occupied by lateral bars that delimit pores arranged in a single complete concentric cycle. Each quadrant typically contains four pores formed by three lateral bars, a feature characteristic of Retecapsa surirella.
Optical properties consistent with those of Retecapsa.
