Watznaueria hinigazeiorum Varol, n. sp.
In honor of my late parents, Yusuf and Emine Varol, of the Hınıgaze lineage
Watznaueria hinigazeiorum differs from Watznaueria cauveryensis in its optical properties. In distal view, extinction angles in Watznaueria cauveryensis are approximately 73° in the distal shield and 60° in the tube cycles. In Watznaueria cf. cauveryensis, the distal shield shows an extinction angle of about 75°, whereas extinction angles in the tube cycles cannot be directly measured due to the oblique orientation of their constituent elements; the apparent angle between extinction lines is about 68°, corresponding to an obliquity of about 22°.
